Children’s Donations Needed


The infant and toddler center at SAMOHI needs donations for their earthquake kits!  If you have gently used children’s clothing sizes newborn through age 5, please consider donating them.  There will be a bin in the front office. The center is also looking for donations of baby formula, diapers, bottles and toddler food. Read more …

Update on Recycling Week!

The Water Challenge: Working with Grades of Green, 2 kids inspired 107 students to participate in their project, and saved 173,666 gallons of water! Way to go, Kiera and Felix!

E-cycling: Franklin families donated 2000 pounds of electronic waste, saving it from the landfill and preventing toxic chemicals from leaching into the soil.

Help Save the Sports Field TOMORROW

Dear Parents, In 2005, after enormous community demand, our City Council agreed to include a regulation-size sports field at the Santa Monica Civic Center as part of the Civic Center Specific Plan.  This field is now in jeopardy.  We believe it is critical that the City Council publicly reaffirms and reprioritizes its support for the field at the Civic Center at its February 9th meeting.  Read more …
