Franklin Parent Ed Group presents
Patty Marks, Reading Specialist:
“Learning to Read: Reading to Learn”
April 19th, 8:45 am, Room 3
Reading is the foundation for all learning. Learning to read takes a great deal of practice—much more practice than a child can get during a typical school day. Since parents are their child’s first and most important teacher, they have a significant impact on their child’s reading success. Practical ideas, tips, strategies and at-home activities will be presented in order for parents to help build their child’s reading skills. The importance of early intervention when parents are concerned about delays in the acquisition of reading or spelling skills will be addressed as well.
