Dear Franklin Parents:
California’s 2013 Budget Act includes a new funding formula (Local Control Funding Formula or LCFF), which gives local education agencies more spending flexibility. As the LCFF is phased in, school districts must work with their communities to create Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs) that define goals and improvement plans.
With this in mind, Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District is launching an LCFF/LCAP Stakeholder Survey. Designed and administered by independent technology and communications firm K12 Insight, the survey explains LCFF/LCAP issues and asks about key topics, such as student achievement, parent involvement and school climate.
This is an excellent chance for staff, parents and the community to collaborate on how to best invest resources in student achievement. Won’t you please take a few minutes to complete the survey at the link below. Responses are confidential, and results will be posted on our district’s website after March 5, 2014. Thank you.
