Dear Clean-Up Day Volunteers,
Thank you for the stellar job you all did this past Saturday at Clean-Up Day. There was so much work to be done and we did it in record time! Every class was represented and over 135 volunteers helped (not including many students).
A big shout out to Julio and Murphy: our amazing janitors who spend countless hours cleaning our school. You both do such an amazing job and are so appreciated.
Although everyone was so generous with their time, I would like to say a special “Thank You” to some amazing volunteers:
Mr. Kumaska’s Class: 18 Parents from your class participated (not including some of KK’s students who were also there lending a helping hand). Congratulations, you take the prize!!
A pizza party and gift certificates for coffee and hot chocolate compliments of Groundwork Coffee Company, the new kid on the block.
Tara and Deanna: Without you both, our school wouldn’t be the crown jewel of Santa Monica.
Liz Salem and Julia Miele: You passed the torch and you both were always available to answer my many questions.
Wendy Woodhall: You spent the entire day in the Cafetorium with your crew…Amazing, and an amazing job.
Kimberly Peak: The MPR Room was so clean, Deanna said, “You could eat off the floor.” Superb!
Mark Chumley: You were here, there and everywhere…
The Segil Family: For donating the cleaning supplies for the computer labs
The Rosenfeld Family: For donating the window blind cleaner for future clean-up days
Eirlys McKenzie: The Excel guru
Nosh’s: Thanks to Steve & Kate’s Camp for the Bagels and coffee, Bristol Farms for the fresh fruit, and Smart & Final for the Crudite and Beachy Cream for the 50% off coupons.
I feel like I am giving an Academy Award speech, because there are so many other people to thank that I undoubtedly will leave somebody out. If I do, it was not intentional.
Thank you all again for all your hard work.
