It’s Bike it Walk it Day, May 6, 2015!
The Franklin Green Team is excited to announce that Franklin will be participating in a district-wide BIKE IT WALK IT DAY, May 6! THE SCHOOL WITH THE HIGHEST RATE OF PARTICIPATION WINS $250 FOR OUR PTA! So come on out, Franklin, and show us that you care about your body, the environment, and our school! Walking or biking to school gets the body and mind ready and warmed up to learn, and helps to reduce climate-changing emissions. Remember that every little bit helps!
We always encourage you to join us every Wednesday and make your trip to school fun, healthy and eco-friendly! If you live far from school, carpool or take the bus! We also have BIKE RACKS permanently installed both in front of the school on Montana Avenue and now also inside the gate in the back on Idaho Avenue (don’t forget your bike lock, and be sure to wear a helmet if you’re on wheels!)
If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Piper (lisamichelepiper@me.com) chair of the Green Team, or Amy Woodson-Boulton, Bike it Walk it coordinator (woodson.boulton@gmail.com).
