Does your son love to explore the world? Come check out the Cub Scouts at the New Parent Orientation on Saturday, September 10, 4 pm on the Franklin South Lawn. The meeting should last an hour, and all families interested in joining are welcome to stay for our Annual Movie Night at 6:30 pm.
Cub Scout Pack 97 is open to all families from 1st through 5th grade. We are an awesome group of adults and kids intent on learning and having as much fun as possible. We’ve got big plans for this year, including camping at Camp Josepho, overnighting at the Natural History Museum, and heading to Joshua Tree in October. Pack meetings are monthly during the school year; den meetings are once or twice a month.
The goal of Cub Scouting is to have fun and learn at the same time. A Cub Scout gets satisfaction from meeting challenges, having friends, feeling good about himself, and feeling he is important to other people. Cub Scouts learn new things, discover and master new skills, gain self-confidence, and develop strong friendships. Cultivating a love and appreciation of the outdoors and outdoor activities are key elements. There is also an emphasis on values and character development.
All adult volunteers are welcome, no experience necessary!
