Are your kids playing Santa Monica Rocks? It’s easy and fun! Here’s how: Paint, draw, stencil, wrap, glue something on, or otherwise embellish a rock. Write Santa Monica Rocks and your name on the back (a black Sharpie works well). If possible, protect your rock creation with a spray or paint-on shellac like Mod Podge (plain white glue also does the trick). Now, hide your beautiful stone somewhere in Santa Monica, such as at a park, a favorite cafe, or even your front yard. You can also post a picture of it online on our Instagram or Facebook group and give some clues as to its location. If YOU find a rock, take a photo and post it to the Facebook group or Instagram, then hide it somewhere else or keep it and replace it with a rock of your own design.
