During the holidays, you might discover that you have more electronic waste than you know what to do with — old cords, computers, remote control vehicles, dead toys, etc. You may even be tempted to throw these in the trash, where they will pollute our groundwater in landfills. But FEAR NOT! Your FRANKLIN GREEN TEAM is here to help! Save all of those old electronics so you can bring them down to Franklin on Friday, January 12th, for a free recycling pick-up service brought to you by our school’s Green Team and California Recycles. From 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, drive/walk/bike down the WESTERN alley from Montana towards Idaho. Half way down you’ll find the drop-off spot on your left, just after the MPR. A volunteer will be available to help you unload. If you are recycling a computer monitor or old TV, you’ll need to sign a form with your contact info; otherwise it’s just “drop & go.” It’s THAT easy to keep heavy metals out of our landfills and repurpose what we can!
Please review the attached List of Recyclables.
