Hundreds filled the Cafetorium on Thursday night and enjoyed their travels to over 26 different countries with passports in hand, tasting some popular and delicious delicacies, watching elaborate dance moves, and listening to world music as they went. From Ecuador to Portugal, and Mexico to Australia, parents and students alike marveled at the deeply diverse lands from where we all came. The unique qualities that separate us found a way to bring us all together as one family at our home away from home known as Franklin School.
Thank you so much to all of the families that served up their favorite dishes and showed off their culture with at times elaborate outfits and detailed display boards. Thanks to the PTA for funding the supplies. And the biggest thank you to our Principal Deanna Sinfield who, along with Assistant Principal Cynthia McGregory, had a dream and vision of celebrating the incredible cultural richness of our school with an event like this, and succeeded big time! You are appreciated!
See you all next year at the 2nd Annual Multicultural Fair! Totsiens!
