The membership approved $50,000 for improvements and replacement of most of our dilapidated perimeter fence gates, plus an additional $5000 for four security locks (staff and parents can enter with a special code or card).
We also unanimously voted to approve a $10,000 budget for improvements in the teacher’s lounge and $7000 for new front office furniture (replacing the 17-year old furniture!)
We also approved $4000 for necessary emergency supplies for the school.

Congratulations to all those on the slate! The Franklin PTA will hold the Annual Elections on Thursday, April 26th for all the positions listed above. Although the Nominating Committee has announced its preferred slate, any PTA member is welcomed to run for any position at the election. Instructions on how to make your intentions known will be found in upcoming e-blasts as well as bulletin board postings.
Per the recommendation of the Education Foundation Donation Subcommittee that was formed in response to a motion to make a large donation to the Ed Foundation two months ago, the membership approved a $100,000 matching donation to the Ed Foundation’s Academic Endowment! This means that, starting today, for every dollar that a person or company donates to the Ed Foundation’s Annual Fund, a matching dollar will be added to the Endowment Fund on behalf of Franklin, up to $100,000!
