Not only is Carnival Franklin’s biggest fundraising event, but it’s also a community-building opportunity where parents, staff, and kids work together to create a fun and memorable experience for the entire community. One way students can help is by decorating and filling one Bring-a-Thing (“BAT”) box. Boxes are coming home on October 5th. Please assist your child in finding appropriate items to fill the boxes: stickers, bubbles, erasers, tattoos, putty, playdough, squishies, YumYums, mini Beanie Boos, Halloween-themed items, mini Lego packs, bouncy balls, and keychains are just some ideas of items to include. Each box will be sold for $3, so please consider this while filling the box.
A “scrumdiddlyumptious” popsicle party will be given to the class that brings in the most boxes, so you might want to encourage everyone in your class to make two or three boxes. Or even better? Host a BAT stuffing party and enjoy getting to know people in your class while decorating and stuffing boxes! All boxes are due by Friday, October 19th. They can be turned in to teachers or in the collection bin in the front office. If you need more boxes, they will be available in the front office to pick up two at a time. Thank you for continuing to make BAT such a fun and successful fundraiser for Franklin! The BAT team will add other goodies and you may even find a gift card for a free yogurt at Menchie’s or more!
