Thank you to all the families who coughed up their extra candy to Operation Gratitude at the Franklin PTA Candy Collection the two days after Halloween. In total, Franklin families donated 283 pounds of candy that is being transported now to the shipping facility in Chatsworth. Last year we donated 244 pounds.
Fun candy fact: The amount of candy that Americans buy on Halloween is the equivalent in weight to 16 of the largest ocean liners in the world.
