Franklin Portrait Plates are an amazing way to memorialize your child’s artwork as well as an important fundraiser for our school! Thank you for making this such a popular and best-selling activity! Here’s how it works… Your children design their own adorable self-portrait in their classrooms,* which are then printed on a usable commemorative dinner plate. Ask other parents – these become great keepsakes to remember the years of elementary school at Franklin. Collect all of their portrait plates over the years – kids, their siblings, grandparents and parents love them!
*Please note, fifth graders will receive a form with a specific-sized WHITE paper (8.5″ x 8.5″) to complete their portrait at home (5th graders are very busy at school!)
Parents must preorder all plates ($25 check or cash) and can order as many as you’d like! They make excellent gifts…. and are perfect as Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts! The deadline to submit orders is Wednesday, March 27th. Late orders cannot be accepted because the artwork is sent out of state for plate production so tick this one off your list asap!
You will soon be receiving the order form needed (and paper for the 5th graders) in your child’s backpack for your Portrait Plate for this year. If you don’t receive it, don’t worry – we will include the form as an attachment in future eblasts, or you can pick one up at our Thursday, March 21st PTA meeting.
Complete the form, attach a check payable to the Franklin PTA (or $25 cash), and send it back in an envelope with your child to place in the large envelope in your classroom (ask your teacher.) Fifth graders must return their artwork, payment, and order form to the front office. Thank you for participating in this fun activity and for continuing to support our school!
