The Franklin PTA Nominating Committee is looking for parents to run for open positions on the 2020-2021 PTA Executive Board. (See attached document here for job descriptions) The Executive Board is comprised of elected and appointed parent volunteers as well as a faculty representative. We are looking for parents interested and able to commit to at least a one-year term and encourage all members of the parent body to submit. In order to be eligible for election, a candidate must have at least one child at Franklin during the 2020-2021 school year.
In addition to the duties outlined in the job descriptions, membership on the PTA Executive board entails attending two (2) monthly meetings (a dedicated meeting for board members only and the monthly general PTA meeting). These meetings are vital to the Exec Board’s role, so attendance is very important.
If you would like to be considered, please submit an email listing the position(s) in which you are interested, indicate your preferred contact information, and briefly summarize why you would like to be considered, including any relevant experience and/or qualifications. Submission
should be sent via email to FranklinPTANomCom@gmail.com . If you do not have access to email and prefer to submit by paper, please leave your submission in the “Nomination Committee” drop box in the front office. The DEADLINE for all submissions is Thursday, March 12th at 3:00pm. Please note that your submission does not guarantee a spot on the Board.
This year’s election will take place during the April 23rd General PTA meeting. In order to vote at the April 23rd meeting, you must be a current PTA member by March 24. If you are not yet a PTA member, you can join here.
