Save Our Schools – Help Our Children!

On Tuesday, May 5th the Santa Monica City Council will be evaluating and voting on potential budget cuts which may include city-sponsored school programs.  The Santa Monica Malibu PTA Council Executive Board recently wrote a letter (click HERE to read it) to the Santa Monica City Council advocating for these city-sponsored school programs.  If any of our Franklin school families would like to send in comments as individuals (signing as individuals, not on behalf of any unit PTA) in support of PTA Council’s letter and/or would like to attend the Santa Monica City Council meeting to make public comment, you are invited to do so.  PTA is an advocacy organization on behalf of children and as such our PTA members may consider this to be an issue of significant interest.  Please also note that City Council recently adopted a resolution to temporarily amend council rules for public comment due to physical distancing requirements:

Thank you!
