The Amazing Universe of the James Webb Space Telescope on Wed, Feb 16th at 6pm
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) recently blasted off into orbit on December 25th, 2021.
A month later, JWST reached its destination one million miles from Earth, where it is currently preparing to explore the farthest reaches of space. JWST will teach us about the very first stars, galaxies, and black holes that formed in the universe, and give unprecedented views of planets around other stars like our Sun.
Please join Alice Shapley, a Franklin mom and professor of Astronomy at UCLA, for an interactive presentation about the amazing universe to be revealed by JWST.
Sign up for this exciting zoom presentation by 2/14 at 5pm on the PTA website.
