Author Talk Recap and Upcoming Holiday Crafts
AUTHOR TALK RECAP
It was so cool to meet New York Times best-selling author Morgan Matson at the Holiday Book Fair. During her three Author Talk assemblies, she inspired our young writers with info and tips about how to craft their ideas into a book. She compared writing to learning a musical instrument--it takes lots of practice! Morgan stayed to sign copies of The Firefly Summer and to answer questions about writing as a career. Write on!
LIBRARY CRAFTS THURS 12/14
Students are invited to create holiday cards in the library during lunch recess on Thursday, 12/14 thanks to a joint effort between Art Cart and Reading Club. Parents interested in volunteering that day can email Elisabeth Ward or Melissa Sullivan. We're also happy to take your extra holiday crafting supplies such as stickers and ribbons if you'd like to bring some along.
