It is that time again... Call for PTA Nominating Committee Members for the 2024-2025 Slate

Our next PTA Meeting is on Thursday, January 18th at 8:45am. We are meeting in person in the Franklin Cafe but you can also dial in via zoom (zoom link). 

In this meeting, we will be taking nominations for the 2024-2025 Nominating Committee, The Nominating Committee plays a central role in our PTA Executive Board because its decisions shape our school's future and determine our next school year, 2024-2025, Executive Board slate. This committee will identify potential candidates for the elected positions for the upcoming term. Members of the nominating committee should reflect our school community and we are asking you as members of the PTA to come forward and join us! 

You must be a member of the PTA in good standing to vote, be on the Nominating Committee and to be on the Executive Board.  It's never too late to join: Sign up here. 

If you are interested in serving on the Nominating Committee, please send an email to FranklinFriend@franklinschoolpta.org with your information prior to the January meeting.

As a reminder, no one who served last year on the committee is eligible and the president also may not serve on the committee. The committee needs a balance of newer and more experienced PTA members, all of whom should be knowledgeable about PTA and who are:

• Aware of qualified potential nominees

• Familiar with the eligibility requirements and the qualifications necessary for the offices to be filled

• Willing and able to devote adequate time to the responsibilities involved and maintain confidentiality.
