The Multicultural Fair Thanks You: Obrigado, Merci, Arigato!

Wow, what a night! It was Franklin's biggest Multicultural Fair ever with 31 cultures represented, 7 live performances and more than 500 "tourists" traveling around the world to enjoy delicious food, creative crafts and community spirit. Congratulations to our first ever geography worksheet winners, Mika in Ms. Rodstrom's class and Hazel from Ms. Grafton's class. Extra props to Ms. Skorko's class with the most single class submissions and 2nd grade for the most gradewide submissions.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to the families who hosted tables and generously shared their cultures. This beloved annual event cannot exist without you. Thank you to our sponsors Abraham Orthodontics and Gramercy boutique and to Viola Floral for the beautiful flowers. Thank you to the fabulous performers! The Mariachi band, Ballet Folklorico, Chinese mask changing dancer, Bollipop Bollywood dancers, Argentine Folklorico dancers (thank you Ms. Diaz!), Taekwondo team and the lovely Irish dancer were all such a joy to watch. Thank you to Murphy for so much help setting up and breaking down. Thank you to Ms. Lonnie for teaching the kids how to make animals from around the world into magnets. Thank you to our super supportive administration and PTA.

And finally, a big thank you to the Multicultural Fair team: event chair Liz Mair, performance chair and emcee Lauren Sullivan, the PTA Literacy & Education team, Amy Wruble and Amanda Pereira, and our many volunteers, including Jamaica Wakefield, Jessica Levin, Jason Axe, Amanda Panglinian, Sharon Ren and the Lincoln kids.

Gracias, Danke, Gomawo!
