Got Tech Skills? The Franklin PTA Needs You!

We hope you find our new, improved site easier to navigate and full of relevant information. Our goal is to keep our PTA community informed of all of the wonderful opportunities, learning events, and activities Franklin and our community have to offer.

In order to achieve our goal, we need volunteers who have marketing and design skills. These volunteer opportunities offer flexibility - on your time and from wherever you want! It is a meaningful way to serve the Franklin Community and is vital to keeping everyone apprised of pertinent information. Here are the areas we are looking for help and the expected time commitment:

  • Tech Admin (1-3 hours weekly): Help manage our website and Google workspace. You’ll help create new webpages (mainly news articles), update existing pages by adding images, text, forms, etc. You will manage our @franklinschoolpta.org emails; create/modify/delete accounts depending on the PTA’s need. Desired experience in Squarespace and Google Workspace/Suite.

  • Image design (~ 5 hours monthly): Create web or print images for Franklin PTA, some simple images like resizing to fit our web requirements and some more complex like banners or t-shirt designs. Desired experience in Illustrator or Photoshop.

  • Volunteer Sign Up (~3-5 hours monthly): Work with PTA members to create and manage volunteer opportunities via SignUp Genius. Desired experience in SignUp Genius.

  • Social Media (~15 min daily): Post on Franklin PTA’s official Facebook account reminders of items that are happening at the school and shared in the Flash.

Many hands make light work, so the more the merrier!
