Want to be Part of Franklin’s Site Governance Council?
Welcome to another great year at Franklin School! We invite you to become involved in our school community through the Site Governance Council (SGC).
The SGC is composed of the Principal, Assistant Principal, Teacher representatives, classified personnel, PTA leaders, and parents. Parent representatives are elected annually by the Franklin parent body. This year's election is for three parent representatives, each serving a two-year term. The SGC is involved in many interesting and important aspects of the school, including developing our School Site Plan each year. The School Site Plan outlines Franklin's academic, enrichment, and technology goals.
The term of service for parent members is two years, but terms are staggered to maintain continuity. We actively encourage representation from all members of the Franklin parent body, including our new families who have just joined the Franklin community.
Membership of the SGC entails attending monthly meetings that are generally conducted on one Monday per month at 3:15 pm, with an option to join via Zoom. These meetings are vital to the Council's role, and attendance is taken.
