Science Club: Motion Capture Magic, Thur, Oct 12 at 6:00 p.m. at Jim Henson Studios

Have you ever wondered how movies, shows and games are animated? Come join us for a behind the scenes tour of the acclaimed Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood, the studio behind The Muppets, Sid the Science Kid, and the Dark Crystal, for a glimpse of real movie magic! Sign up here before Oct 2 to reserve a spot! This is open to all grades, Franklin students only and students MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This private tour will be focused on some of the modern techniques in animating our content, specifically motion capture. Students will have the opportunity to explore the studio space and maybe even get into a motion capture suit and drive a character in real-time!

Arrive before 6:00 PM to find parking at Jim Henson Studios - 1416 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028

We recognize that this is a trek during peak traffic hours, but it is a very unique opportunity that we hope everyone can join! This is a live studio environment and therefore outside food and drinks are not allowed. Please make sure you arrive before 6:00 PM ready and fed.
