Important Safety Message From Principal Zeevi

Safety is our number one priority for all children and staff at Franklin.

It has been brought to my attention that a gentleman in a Red Ford Sedan, license plate 6DFA877, has been driving around on Montana and Idaho frequently,  blaring music at times. What I also learned is that this has been going on for over a year. I understand that he also approached a mom and daughter last year, and asked if they would like some toys from his trunk. I have checked with other principals and have learned he has also been driving around at least one other school. I have been working with SMPD, and the registered owner of the car does not have a record (however we don’t know if the driver is the registered owner), and there has been no cause to pull him over.

If you see the car or driver, please do not approach him. You can call the school and report it. If he does approach you or your children with some "odd" offer, please walk away and discreetly call the police immediately. Also, this is a good time to review with your children what to do if they get approached by strangers.
