Franklin Valet Needs Your Help to Run Smoothly

For morning drop off in the valet on Idaho to run smoothly and safely we need all families to follow these important tips:

  • As our class Room Parents aren't established yet, we are asking for volunteers to join us at valet for the first 3 weeks of school.  Please sign up here to help with morning drop off to ensure the safety of our students. As a volunteer you will need to:

    • Arrive by 8:10 to place cones to create the drop-off lane on Idaho.

    • Help open car doors and grab backpacks as kids hop out of the cars onto the sidewalk.

    • Volunteer’s job is over when the second bell rings at 8:30 am and the cones have been returned to the gate.

  • For parents utilizing valet please remember:

    • Do not park in front of the Idaho gates during drop off.

    • Please pull your vehicle forward to the front of the valet line. There are parent volunteers present to wave you through.

    • Have your child ready to get out of the car with all of their belongings (keep their items on the passenger side of the car for safety and ease).

    • Parents are to remain in their vehicles at all times. This will allow for an easy drop-off, provide traffic safety, and parents should not park and walk their children to the gate. Valet will assist your children.

  • For parents who drive (whether using valet or not):

    • No illegal U-Turns

    • No 3-point turns into the alley on Idaho and no parking in the alley.

  • For all pedestrians:

    • Use the crosswalks so there is no jaywalking to avoid safety issues. Wait for the crossing guard to help you cross.

While this all seems quite logical, when we are rushing to drop our children off to school on time, we may forget!

All families, be aware that gates open at 8:15am and kids will be able to play for the 15 minutes prior to the first whistle. If you need to drop your child off earlier, there is Breakfast Club at the Cafe/Montana gate entrance starting at 8am.
