Updates on Parent Ed: DEI and March Reading Club Theme

Reading Club:

For the Month of March, Reading Club is going to be reading on the theme of Natural Disasters! Tsunamis, earthquakes, mudslides, floods, and other terrifying events are all documented in books we have in the library, and we will have them in the green cart for our students to read starting March 4.

Parent Ed: DEI - Inclusion Matters Update:

On Tuesday February 20, Franklin welcomed Inclusion Matters for a Parent Ed that was aimed at empowering parents in our community to better respond to the needs of our students. We were very fortunate to be exposed to the peer-to-peer model of playing that encourages students to be curious and responsive to various differences, and were better educated on how best to facilitate a safer and more inclusive environment for all our children.

Thank you to Blanca for taking the time to share her presentation and answer our concerns and lend us her experience and knowledge. And thank you to all those who came out to learn and share your own experiences.
