Library Update: From Dia de los Muertos to Dumbledore

Last week, the Art Cart and Library teamed up to help students make Dia de los Muertos crafts including colorful sugar skulls and tissue paper marigolds. Then on Friday, students got the Halloween surprise of their lives when Professors Dumbledore, Snape, McGonnagal, Trelawney and Hagrid, students Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley and a few other friends from Hogwarts dropped by dressed up and speaking in their best British accents (some real) to interact with grades K-5 during lunch. Deepest thanks to the Reading Club Players: Elisabeth Ward, Antonia Ellis, Lauren Sullivan, Ava and Amir Rahimi, Jaime Chipko, Matthew Farrar, Eugenie Smith and her family and Christina Tindale.

And speaking of Reading Club, this month's new theme is Sportsmania, just in time for Move-A-Thon. Kids can pick up a sports-related book on the rack in the library and Reading Club members get to check out an extra title.
