Students to Veterans Project: You Matter!

For the last two weeks, during recess time, parent volunteers for Art Cart have been helping Franklin students from TK through fifth grade to learn about the service, sacrifice, and experience of our military veterans who are currently receiving support at the Community Living Center: Home for Heroes in the West Los Angeles campus of the Veterans Hospital.

Children were encouraged to use our Franklin school motto, “You Matter”, to express their gratitude and recognition of the veterans in honor of Veterans Day on Friday, November 11.
