Weekend Bag Program Helps Address Food Insecurity
The mission of the Weekend Bag Program to Address Food Insecurity is to provide SMMUSD students with nutritious and easy-to-prepare non-perishable food items for the weekend when school-sponsored breakfasts and lunches are not available.
On Friday afternoons, immediately after school, each student enrolled in the program will discreetly pick up a bag of food from the location arranged by Florencia Rams, BCL (Bilingual Community Liaison).
The program is available to all SMMUSD students. Each bag is designed to provide one child with enough food for 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 snacks for the weekend.
This form is confidential; only the school office staff will be aware of who is participating in the program. Program coordinators and volunteers who prepare the food bags will not know participant names.

PROGRAMA BOLSA DE FIN DE SEMANA DE SMMUSD (WeB)

El objetivo del Programa de Bolsas de Fin de Semana (WeB) es proporcionar a los estudiantes de SMMUSD alimentos no perecederos, nutritivos y fáciles de preparar para el fin de semana cuando no estén disponibles los desayunos y almuerzos patrocinados por la escuela.
Los viernes por la tarde, inmediatamente después de la escuela, cada estudiante que participe en el programa recogerá discretamente una bolsa de alimentos (de un lugar organizado por Florencia Rams, BCL) y la colocará en su mochila.
El programa está disponible para todos los estudiantes de SMMUSD. Cada bolsa está diseñada para proporcionar a un niño suficiente comida para 2 desayunos, 2 almuerzos y 2 refrigerios para el fin de semana.
El formulario es confidencial. Solo el personal de la oficina de la escuela sabrá quién participa en el programa.
